I have owned the Yacht Sentinel since 2011, and I cannot praise it enough. I bought it to give me peace of mind, and I have not been disappointed. Being able to respond quickly to fast-acting alerts is one of its great strengths. I have learned of shore-power failures ahead of the marina office (and they are ‘on the ball’). All alarm tests have been consistently swift and efficient. The ability to obtain ‘status’ information about the boat via the device, has proved invaluable. In short, it is a superb piece of electrical engineering and design - and worth every penny.

Sailing the West European coast as far as Gibraltar, we wanted something to monitor conditions on board when we left our boat. Having looked at a number of options we purchased a Yacht Sentinel because it can be used without being permanently installed and monitors unauthorised entry, bilges, shore power or battery state and temperature. It has worked flawlessly advising us when the shore power goes off so we can ring the marina, and whenever we enter the boat it sends us a text message before we can get through the hatch. When we are away from the boat, it really does help give us piece of mind. Thank you for such a good product.

Topsail Insurance considers Yacht Sentinel as a good way of securing and reducing potential damage to your boat. We particularly like the fact that if the boat is stolen, the boat can be tracked and hopefully recovered and the high water alarm is a very worthwhile addition for us. As Insurance providers, we appreciate owners that care about their boats. In return, we want to reward those boat owners by giving them a discount for their boat insurance when they use the Yacht Sentinel product.

Yacht Sentinel saves $220,000 boat “I was about to head overseas for 10 days and started getting bilge alarm SMS alerts from my Yacht Sentinel boat monitor. On investigation, the bilge pump had physically failed with the impeller having come away from the shaft and water was over the top of the pump in the bilge. I’m not sure how it would have fared without a bilge pump while I was away,” says Smart1Marine customer. The Yacht Sentinel device is not just an entry alarm system it also monitors your boat when you’re not on board. Bilge sensors will alert via SMS messaging if water ingress is above accepted levels. The Yacht Sentinel is a small price to pay to monitor your boat when you’re not on board. The internal GPS can be used to track position, monitor the boat at anchor or alert if moved without consent.
